Financial Assistance
Berean offers two tuition discount programs, both of which require a completed Tuition Assistance Application. The Tuition Assistance application process is separate from and independent of the application for admissions.
Because Tuition Assistance applications are not evaluated unless they include a copy of your 2012 completed federal tax return (among other items), potential applicants are advised to file their taxes as early in 2013 as possible in order to be considered for either of the following programs:
- TUITION ASSISTANCE (TA) – awarded solely on the basis of financial need. Main criteria considered include income, family size, and number of students enrolled at Berean concurrently. Aid amounts and percentages are determined at the discretion of the Berean Finance Committee and, since funds are limited, can vary from year to year depending upon the number of qualifying applicants sharing the funds available.
- CHRISTIAN MINSTRY DISCOUNT (CMD) – granted upon application to families with a parent employed full-time for pay in selected Christian ministries within income levels.
For both of these programs, any assistance granted DOES NOT carry forward from year to year, in neither percentage nor amount. Families with continuing need must reapply annually to determine financial aid eligibility.
Please review Berean’s 2013-2014 Tuition Assistance Application Instructions & Guidelines for other important information about qualifying criteria, application deadlines, and specific application instructions.
Effective with the 2013-2014 application cycle, Berean will be using an independent company, Smart Tuition Aid Analysis, to process all aid applications and to provide objective data analysis to Berean’s Finance Committee. However, all final tuition aid decisions, including determination and notifications of award amounts (if any) continue to be made by the Berean Finance Committee, not Smart Tuition. The aid application requires a $24 fee paid directly to Smart Tuition. Once you have reviewed the Instructions & Guidelines, you may begin your application at www.SmartTuitionAid.com using Berean’s School ID of 90102.
